Robert Craig Winery showcases four Cabernet Sauvignons produced from Napa Valley mountain and hillside vineyards, including Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon from their estate vineyard, Affinity, a classic Bordeaux-style Cabernet, and powerhouse Cabernets from Mount Veeder and Spring Mountain. Each wine conveys a unique personality derived from the soils, climate and varietal characteristics of the growing region. Robert Craig has been a pioneer in mountain vineyard development for over 30 years. During the 1980s, he directed vineyard and winery development on Mount Veeder.

The 2016 Affinity is a 100% estate grown, single vineyard selection from La Londe Vineyard. The primary mission at Robert Craig Winery is to produce wines that feature pure site expression. “The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Affinity is a gorgeous offering. Ripe and plummy, with striking up-front fruit, the 2016 has a lot to offer, including tons of immediacy and sheer appeal. Super-ripe red cherry, raspberry jam, vanilla and sweet spice add to the wine's racy, inviting personality. The Affinity is now mostly (85%) estate grown fruit from a site in Coombsville.”
 
 
 
An Exceptional Vintage: 2016
2016 in Napa Valley was considered an “exceptional vintage,” with ideal growing conditions, moderate yields and superb wine quality. The early, moderate weather and lack of significant heat events made for one of the best quality vintages of recent memory.
